As I walk around, mostly at night, a glimpse causes me to raise the camera and click. I then spend months, or years, exploring variations of the photograph and living with the images on my walls until the emotional world which that the image represents for me becomes clearer. I then render that world through the final print.
The images are taken on film and printed with photochemical processes. I use a physical process to push properties of materials and their reactions to the extremes of heat, light and time to uncover these new emotional dimensions and stories.
The results are images from a psychological world which I understand well and live in everyday.
